“The most valuable prize you can now win at Cresta,” according to Alan Page, president of the newly rebooted international creative awards, “is a better return on your investment in creativity.” Cresta has announced a whole series of initiatives aimed at making sure winners get far more than just a shiny new trophy for reception.
“Unlike many awards,” Page went on to say, “our work won't stop when we announce the results. We're committed to making our winners the ones that get remembered.” That's a strong claim. But just how do Cresta plan to deliver on this commitment?
Although final details and designs are still under-wraps for some elements of the plan, it is clear that Cresta feels it can offer an exclusive ‘boutique’ approach to promoting their winners work. The focus will be on working closely with both independent and network creative agencies to develop tailored, highly targeted campaigns promoting the work, the agency and the creatives responsible for winning entries.
Cresta takes a holistic approach to the awards business, and aims to be an industry ‘champion’ of creativity 365 days a year - not just during awards season.
“Awards are only part of the story for clients,” says Lewis Blackwell, Cresta’s CEO. “To find the right agency, clients need to know much more than how many glittering prizes an agency can point to. We’ll be helping agencies and creatives to explain the real value of their work.”
Cresta has published a short manifesto for its commitment to ROI.
