To thank all its London supporters and celebrate the new management team’s first year at Cresta, the rebooted creative award is inviting LBB readers to an exclusive private view (and drinks). The event will be held on December 3rd between 6-9pm at 235 Hoxton Street, London, N1 5LG.
On show will be an Open Doors Gallery curated exhibition of works by emerging photography artists from around the world. Open Doors has an Instagram (@odtakeovers) following of 80,000 and has attracted some exceptional talent. Now a few selected artists have released special print editions through Open Doors which will be on show for the first time on 3 December.
The image above is from Jeremy Snell’s series titled the Boys of Volta. Lake Volta is the largest man-made lake in the world and the surrounding area has links to the trafficking of children and a fishing industry where child labor is common. 20% of proceeds from this series go to a charity dedicated to ending child slavery.
Alan Page, President of Cresta told us, “ we see our role as inspiring great creativity as much as rewarding it, and this exhibition is just part of that strategy. We are actively seeking similar events to support in Europe, North America and Asia. So if any of your readers have some suggestions, please get it touch.”
Space is limited at the Private View so if you would like to attend please email Alan at info@creativestandards.org and reserve your entry.
