Andrea joins Cossette from Eleven, where she served as head of production at the New York office

Cossette is boosting its production capabilities with a new senior-level hire at Magic Circle Workshop, a full-service in-house production company. British-born, Toronto-based production executive Andrea Ogunbadejo, VP, managing director, production, is on a mission to elevate and innovate production by focusing on the how, bringing the right creative and strategic approach to life.  

After earning a degree in Film Studies from the University of Kent, Andrea worked on independent features, shorts and scripted TV for the BBC, Netflix, Sky, and NBC before making the transition to advertising. Landing at VaynerMedia London, she established and led the agency’s production department and in-house, social-first content studio. She went on to deliver global campaigns and always-on social content for TikTok, 7UP, Shell, UNICEF, Kraft Heinz, and Durex. She joins Cossette from Eleven, where she served as head of production at their New York office for clients like Samsung and Kraken Rum. 

“Production has traditionally been viewed as focusing strictly on execution, but that’s changing. The lines between entertainment, advertising and social media are blurring, with consumers just wanting compelling and consistent content,” says Andrea. “Production plays a crucial role in that space. We combine our expertise with the emergence of powerful new tools to unlock creativity, which moves at the lightning-fast pace of culture.”

In her new role, Andrea will oversee the Magic Circle Workshop team, aiming to not only craft world-class content, but see results in the work delivered for major brands like the Canadian divisions of McDonald’s, Walmart and Google. At Cossette, the strategy, creative, media, and production experts operate in tandem, and that’s how great work is made. The team is excited about new opportunities to create content at scale, coupling emerging technology with the spirit of filmmaking and storytelling to deliver a brand’s message efficiently. Magic Circle Workshop believes there’s no reason why a brand can’t make exciting, high-quality content at pace, especially since audiences are starting to care less about who the messenger is, as long as the content is engaging. With Andrea’s global experience in film and advertising, the team will have greater access to an international network of talent, as well as homegrown Canadian talent.

Andrea is a fierce advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion - she co-led the DEI committee for VaynerMedia London and acted as US diversity, equity and inclusion chair for Eleven within the Plus Company network - as well as sustainability within production. She’s also a well-known expert in her field and has been featured most notably in Adweek, Campaign, SHOOT, AgencySpy, and SHOTS Magazine.
