The film premiered at this year's Berlinale and was awarded the Silver Bear

German composer and musician, Nils Frahm has scored his very first feature film. A creative masterpiece shot in one continuous take, the film ‘Victoria’, is written and directed by Sebastian Schipper and was premiered at this year’s Berlinale. The film was awarded the ‘Silver Bear’ for outstanding cinematography at this weekend’s festival.

Variety magazine commented on Nils' work: “Nils Frahm’s score is an equally flexible asset, veering from juddering electronic chaos to dreamy intrusions of piano and cello — a sonic approximation of the alternating noise in the title character’s wrecked head.”

The Hollywood Reported also commented: “Schipper stays impressively faithful to his purist aesthetic, shooting guerrilla-style in natural light and shaky hand-held close-up. But he sometimes uses music for tonal and textural variation, allowing the electronic score by Berlin-based composer Nils Frahm to drown out dialogue in places. When the gang returns to the techno club for a post-heist celebration, Frahm's soothing electro-orchestral pieces prove especially effective, washing over the throbbing dance beats like a flood of endorphins.”
