Composer, producer and celebrated performer Nils Frahm recently released Early Works via LEITER - three albums of rare early recordings, including Durton, Streichelfisch, and Electric Piano. Each album offers a vivid, enlightening and compelling insight into Nils’s development as an artist.
Durton and Streichelfisch, recorded between 2002 and 2005, will prove a revelation for those who believe Nils only began integrating a wider array of instrumentation into his work with 2013’s Spaces. Electric Piano, meanwhile, was recorded in a single night of improvisations soon after Nils relocated to Berlin, taking his first steps back towards his original instrument.
To celebrate the release of Nils’s Early Works, the Manners McDade Creative Team has curated a playlist of Organic, Electronic, Modern Classical tracks from our roster.
