For 40 years, Comic Relief has been making people laugh and changing lives in the process. This year, a brand new launch film created by in-house creative agency, BBC Creative, celebrates this milestone with a hilarious reminder that every giggle, chuckle, and snort can make a difference.
The film sees a group of office workers watching a classic Comic Relief skit featuring Mr Bean. As one colleague’s particularly unusual laugh takes centre stage, those surrounding them try in vain to hold in their laughter. Despite this, it doesn’t take long for ripples of laughter to spread across the office as colleagues can’t help but join in. Proving that laughter - no matter how unusual - is truly infectious.
The film celebrates decades of comedy, fundraising, and life-changing support for those who need it most.
Closing out the film is a voiceover by Alison Hammond which nods to Comic Relief’s 40th anniversary and reiterates that every laugh makes a difference.
