Jesse Shamata's new work for the LCBO through Cossette Canada has gone live. The interactive campaign (which can be seen in full here) shows through a series of vignettes the efforts of three guys to enjoy a "Guys Night In" despite the intrusions of a not always welcome fourth wheel in the form of an obnoxious Trillionaire, Sportscaster or Country Singer depending on what combination gets clicked, always with surprising results.
Jesse is a director/writer with a unique comedic vision and a gift for directing actors and well known personalities. His most recent short film Break A Leg, premiered at New York's MoMA and Lincoln Center for New Directors/New Films, and it is screening at international film festivals in 2010 including Palm Springs, Milan, Vancouver, CFCWSFF and Just For Laughs.
Having spent 5 years as the Comedy Director/Producer for CBC's The Hour, Jesse directed and edited nightly comedy shorts featuring hundreds of actors and celebrities including Morgan Freeman, Foo Fighters, Gordon Ramsay, Snoop Dogg, Slash, Juliette Lewis, Martin Short, Bob Newhart, Alan Alda, Jeff Goldblum, David Cross, Ted Danson, Kevin Smith, Catherine O'Hara, Eugene Levy and even, Hulk Hogan.
