Yesterday, Mutant launched a new global brand campaign for Eastpak.
"Eastpak bags have always been canvases for transformation and customisation. There's a beautiful parallel between that and what cosplayers do. Through their handmade suits, they can show the world the many facets of their character. There’s a beautiful metaphor in these costumes being some sort of protective suits of armour, literally resisting the mundane." Said Ben Boliau, sr. designer and lead creative on this project.
"Fun fact: the blue demon wasn't supposed to wear a fanny pack. But the actor turned out to be a very large man if you get what I mean. And it actually turned out to make the opening shot even better." said Lina Mertens, project lead on this project.
