After winning Cannes Lions Agency of the Year (Pacific) and NZ’s first Immortal Award, Colenso has hired two senior creative teams

2024 was a pretty big year for Colenso BBDO, with the agency winning Cannes
Lions Agency of the Year (Pacific), new business wins, and New Zealand’s first
Immortal Award.

Following on from those successes, the creative department has
expanded with four senior creative hires.

Joining the creative department at the top of College Hill are senior creative team
Mitchell Crowe and Ben Carroll, senior art director Julia Ferrier, and returning
senior art director Harry Skelton.

Mitch and Ben join Colenso from Augusto where they led several global Adidas jobs
including three of the last ‘Move For The Planet’ initiatives. In that time, they put
together a comprehensive portfolio of work featuring some of the biggest names in
sport.

Julia arrives from Clemenger, where for the last few years she's been instrumental
on work for the Ministry of Social Development’s ‘Love Creep’ and ‘Broken Hearts’.

She helped glorify staying home when sick, by encouraging people to ‘Let your body
go to work’ for Te Whatu Ora.

Before Clemenger, she worked with the team at Special to make a merman sparkle in Kathmandu’s ‘Summer Never Sleeps’. Whilst in London at FCB, she picked up a Grand Prix at Cannes for her work on Pearson’s ‘Project Literacy’.

Harry returns to Colenso after travelling overseas to capture street photography in
some of Southeast Asia’s deepest dive bars and freelancing around New Zealand,
working on brands from the Department of Conservation to one of Australia’s fastest
growing brands – Balter Beer.

Si Vicars, chief creative officer of Colenso BBDO, said, “New people bring new
points of view, new inspiration, and new ways of looking at old problems. I’m so
proud of what our creative department has achieved together, but what we do next
will always be more important. Adding Julia, Harry, Ben and Mitch to our team sets
us up for 2025 and beyond.”
