Having previously delivered successful campaign work for the brand including the Start Better campaign which launched at the beginning of this year; this announcement marks the first time globally, that Clinique have locally partnered with a media agency to manage their social.
“We have demonstrated to Clinique our ability to create great content in-house through OMD Word, OMD’s Social Media Division. With social being under the same roof as the Clinique’s paid campaign activity, it allows us to better leverage insights across all channels,” said Angela Swayn OMD business director.
Clinique is putting a global focus on attracting new and younger consumers to their brand. This week marks the start of this shift with the launch of Face Forward their first millennial targeted campaign.
Corinne Duffy, national marketing manager at Clinique said, “As we shift our focus to a younger audience, we need to engage with them on the channels that are most relevant to them. As they are always online – this shift to socially specific content made sense to us as a brand.”
The Face Forward campaign kicks off with an event at David Jones this Thursday where consumers can get up close and personal with Australian influencer Margaret Zhang, one of the three global faces of the campaign.
OMD Word, who were recently in the news for securing the Amazon owned online fashion retailer Shopbop; are a team of eight that provides clients with social strategy, planning, design and community management.
