The deadline to enter work that will become the new benchmark of excellent craft is fast approaching. Entries for this year’s CICLOPE Awards close next Friday, 23 August, and this year’s Festival is set to be another unmissable showcase of exceptional work from the global creative community.
CICLOPE 2024 will continue the legacy of previous editions, as the international home for those who believe in the power of craft. This year’s Grand & Executive Juries are comprised of around 200 members of top industry talent, who will come together from almost 30 different countries to decide this year’s shortlists. Then at the Festival in Berlin, the six esteemed jury presidents will head up the final debates and judging of each Awards section:
● Medb Riordan, co-MD, EP & owner, Academy Films (UK) - PRODUCTION
● Julie Evans, co-founder & EP, Black Kite Studios (UK) - POST PRODUCTION & ANIMATION
● Tim Nash, founding partner, Somesuch (USA) - MUSIC VIDEO
● Alexander Kalchev, CEO & CCO, DDB Paris (FRANCE) - SPECIAL SECTION
● Bianca Guimaraes, partner & ECD, Mischief (USA) - IDEAS & INNOVATION
● Carol Dunn, managing director, Barking Owl (USA) - SOUND & MUSIC
In the spirit of the Festival, reduced entry fees are available to those whose work is eligible for the two New Talent categories, and the Student Film category. Entries close at 23.59 PST on Friday 23 August, and shortlists will be announced on 26 September.
CICLOPE CEO, Francisco Condorelli commented, “We are already looking forward to this year’s global CICLOPE Festival & Awards, and are particularly excited about showcasing the work entered into the new categories across Animation and within the brand new Innovation section, which celebrates work embracing new technologies and exploring the moving boundaries of creativity. “
The lineup of speakers for the live event in Berlin will be announced in the coming weeks, and is a world class mix of creatives, directors and producers. Tickets are already available and can be found on the CICLOPE website.
