Jimmy Lam, Vice Chairman and Chief Creative Office of DDB Group North China was honoured 2012 China Marcom Leaders of the Year at the inaugural China Communications Leadership Forum on 1 December 2012.
China Beijing International Culture & Creative Industry Expo and 5iPR, a leading public relations agency in China organized the event as an industry first for China’s leading communication practitioners. The event gathered 150 attendees from marketing, advertising, public relations, events, and digital companies and agencies.

They have contributed their knowledge and professional skills to uplift our industry, set high benchmarks for China to grow quickly, and also provided a nurturing environment for our next generation of communication talents and future leaders. It is timely such recognition is extended to these outstanding individuals,” the organizer said.

Over the years, Jimmy has earned a reputation as one of the most awarded, home grown creative talents. He has 36 years of working experience in the advertising industry with various international agencies, such us Draft/FCB, DDB, McCann, Euro, and Lowe. He was the first Hong Kong Chinese to become Executive Creative Director in Lintas HK, and was also the first Hong Kong Chinese to become Asia Pacific Regional ECD of an international agency (Dentsu). Jimmy founded and currently runs Longyin Review magazine to showcase outstanding Chinese creative work. He is also one of the four founders of the LongXi International Creative Awards.
