Channel 4 Announces the Unisex Urinal 'Stream Free 4000' in Parody Infomercial

A playful new campaign by Channel 4’s award winning in-house creative agency 4creative launches on 14th January to promote the broadcaster’s brilliant, free comedy content on All 4.

A brand-new conceptual trail introduces the ‘Stream Free 4000’ – a portable unisex urinal so that they don’t need to leave the sofa, even when nature calls.

In traditional shopping channel style, the trail comes complete with helpful demonstrations of how to use the specially made unisex urinal. As sticklers for authenticity, the production of the trail involved the creation of a select run of ‘Stream Free 4000s’ which were used to shoot the trail.

The campaign has been created to highlight the huge choice of comedy boxsets on All 4, which is the UK’s biggest free streaming service, and hosts some of the hottest comedy from Derry Girls to The Curse, as well as cult classics like Peep Show and The IT Crowd.

With 80% of the UK’s 16-34-year-olds registered with All 4, it’s the go-to destination for young people who love to ‘stream freely’.

Lynsey Atkin, executive creative director at 4creative, said: “We just can’t help ourselves helping you to stream free, so to celebrate the masses of wet-yourself-laughing comedy box sets on All 4, we created the Stream Free 4000. Paying homage to bad graphics and shopping channels, we’ve had a lot of fun. Which is, after all, what comedy is all about.”

The trail will run on All 4 and E4 until the end of February.
