Denisha is a multi-faceted creative, with an aim to speak cultural truth across all platforms of her expression. Her work explores key themes of identity, race and gender which she then ties them into social documentary, fashion, music videos and portraiture photography. Pushing narrative that informs and inspires.

While working in film and photography Anderson has had the opportunity to work alongside Spike Lee, Daniel Mulloy and Joost Vandebrug. These experiences have helped develop her unique eye. Anderson’s work is raw, intimate and challenging; empowering not only the individual but disrupting the pre-conceptions viewers may feel towards those she captures.

Since becoming a full-time artist two years ago, her talent and determination has gained her attention in recent exhibitions which include MAN at The V&A Museum, The Self Portrait at HOME Gallery and a nationwide billboard campaign with BuildHollywood for Record Store Day; and press coverage from Magneta Flash Forward Catalogue, The Hufngton Post and WePresent.

In the world of music videos, Anderson has collaborated with artists such as Wu-Lu, Chrissi, Léa Sen and The Bug and garnered press coverage from the likes of David Reviews, LBBOnline, PromoNews & Shots; also being shortlisted earlier this year at Kinsale Shark Awards & at the up and coming Creative Circle Awards for her Wu-Lu “Broken Homes” video.

Sorcha Shepherd, managing executive producer at Caviar in London had this to say on the new addition: “I originally met Denisha when I was doing an agency reel screening and she was one of the creatives in attendance. I instantly took a liking to her as she was so welcoming and attentive, with such a magnetic aura to her. It wasn’t until a few years later that one of my team sent me a video for South London artist Wu-Lu that I saw Denisha’s name and thought to myself with genuine joy “Could this be the same amazing young creative I met?!” I was so ecstatic when I found out it was and then discovering on top, she is a talented director, is every EP’s dream. All of us at Caviar London are super excited to have Denisha on our roster and cannot wait to be a part of building her career.”

Denisha added: “I don’t know what to say, I feel a mixed bag of emotions but it’s exciting, to enter a new phase in my life and glad I’m stepping into it with Caviar.”

Born in Essex to a Trinidadian family, music is something that has been around Chrissi all her life. Her musical influences whizz across multiple genres, taking a circuitous route to the current day. From her carnival-obsessed parents who played nothing but soca, to teen years immersed in house and UK garage, to the later discoveries of neo-soul and R&B greats like Jill Scott and Erykah Badu; Chrissi’s music takes inspiration from a litany of stylistic sources.

Having closed 2021 with the release of her lauded debut EP Back In The Day, the UK music scene was alerted to her magic and thus cemented her as one of the most relatable and promising storytellers. Lipo is Chrissi’s ode to body positivity, self-love and the trials of getting to the point where you believe you deserve it. Crystallising her sound that blends the many tendrils of R&B, soul and pop, bound together by Chrissi’s deft vocal - smokey and soulful - her new single hits with somatic force.

“I wrote Lipo because I was upset with a guy who sexualized me and then decided he couldn’t be with me because he didn’t want his friends to know what he’s into.” explains Chrissi. But, where some might wallow in their emotional scars, Chrissi is content to take power in self-examination and the regenerative bliss following heartbreak, inhabiting a narrative where women’s voices are dominant. “Everyone has to kiss a few frogs I suppose.” she laughs. “Made a banger out of it though!”

A meeting of minds, the video depicts Chrissi and friends as they vent their romantic frustrations through catchy choreo that will undoubtedly be replicated by listeners, at every upcoming Chrissi live show.

Denisha adds: “When I initially heard the song, I was gassed at the bar 'Fxck your feelings', I really felt that and knew I had to create something which was full of energy yet super empowering. Drawing inspiration from Destiny’s Child’s Bootylicious and Janet Jackson’s That’s The Way Love Goes, I wanted a similar home environment, where we see Chrissi and her friends vibing and enjoying each other’s company, dissecting F-Boys, and saying goodbye to that energy and hello to an evolved version of self. Utilising a variety of set-ups and working with a choreographer for the first time, I think we pulled it all together with smiles, energy and charisma to make a film I am really proud of.”
