Jonathan Levine, the director behind the critically acclaimed film 50/50 and the recent box office success, WARM BODIES, has joined the roster of Caviar, Los Angeles.
Levine, known for his directing and screenwriting work on the big screen, joins the Caviar roster after directing his first commercial project for Los Angeles based agency Zambezi. The piece marks the debut of Li Ning, basketball superstar Dwayne Wade’s new line of shoes.
“I have been a huge fan of Jonathan’s ever since I saw his first film, THE WACKNESS,” says Michael Sagol, Managing Partner/EP at Caviar. “We have had a relationship with Jonathan for some time now, and have always believed in his commercial storytelling abilities. His work is so charming and engaging. We are thrilled to officially add him to our roster.”
In 2008, Levine won the Sundance Audience Award for his first film, THE WACKNESS, for which he not only directed but also wrote the screenplay. His next two films, 50/50 (starring Joseph Gordon Levitt and Seth Gordon) and WARM BODIES (starring Nicolas Hoult and John Malkovich) have established Levine as more than just an indie film favorite.
At Caviar, Jonathan joins an already strong roster of creators which includes Jody Hill of Eastbound and Down, Jorma Taccone of Lonely Isalnd, Jonathan Krisel of Portlandia and feature directors Ruben Fleischer and Peter Farrelly.
