BUTTER Music and Sound Releases 4th Annual 'Cozies Playlist'

BUTTER Music and Sound LA EP Annick Mayer has released her annual warm tidings - minus any hint of the classics - in her purposefully non-Holiday 'Cozies Playlist': a celebration of winter as-is, for those already sick of the month-long holiday carol rotation.

This close to the end of the year, those who can’t abide stepping into a mall for fear of another 'All I Want For Christmas' can turn to Spotify and hear just as great, yet underestimated winter hits like The Mills Brothers’ 'I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm,' Peggy Lee’s 'Button Up Your Overcoat' and The Merry Macs’ 'Jingle Jangle Jingle (Alternate take, of course),' among many others.

“The theme for the playlist is the same every year: music that sounds like the holidays but isn’t about the holidays,” says Annick. “Tracks can’t mention Santa, Christmas, Hanukkah, the Holidays, etc. I started making it because I was getting sick of the same classic Christmas songs that we get blasted with from November through December. I wanted music that gave me the same nostalgic and cosy feeling, without any of the Santa.”
