Building Tomorrow and ad agency Young & Laramore have partnered together to launch an entirely social/PR campaign called #GiveUsYourTomorrow aimed at Millennials.
The #GiveUsYourTomorrow campaign issues a series of social media challenges, including “Bare Your Bedhead” (asking users to post early-morning photos of unruly hair), “Awkward Adolescent” (posting photos or videos from puberty), and “Sing Your Heart Out” (posting videos of singing). For each person who completes the challenge, the challenger pays $2 to Building Tomorrow.
Building Tomorrow is a charity that builds schools in Uganda, the youngest nation in the world with 1/2 of the population under the age of 15, and in desperate need of improved education. Y&L conducted proprietary research and came away with some great insights about Millennials' desire to engage in social good. Y&L was able to collaborate with A-list talent such as Noah and the Whale, the Improv group, Captain Hippo (part of Lorne Michael's Above Average production company) and illustrator, Brian Rea.
