If you notice any typos in breakfast brand Jimmy Dean ads in the coming days, know it’s all for a good cause…
Starting from May 30th, Jimmy Dean is turning its beloved breakfast ads into a brain-teasing challenge – inviting consumers to spell check them just in time for the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
The first-ever Jimmy Dean Misspelling Scramble - created by Ogilvy - is taking place in celebration of the iconic annual event. Jimmy Dean is running misspelled geo-targeted ads in and around the Bee and rewarding those who correctly identify the mistakes with the chance to win free breakfast and a donation to support child literacy.
True to the Jimmy Dean tagline that ‘today is your day to shine,’ this challenge embodies the brand’s belief that a good breakfast can help spread morning optimism and fuel you for whatever the day throws at you—whether catching typos or being your brightest self.
Here’s how it works:
- Spot a misspelling in a Jimmy Dean ad
- DM @JimmyDean on Instagram with the correct spelling to be automatically entered to win:*
- $100 worth of Jimmy Dean product coupons for free breakfast and
- $100 donation to the Scripps Howard Fund in support of child literacy on your behalf
*Of the participants who accurately spell-check the brand, 100 hundred winners will be selected to receive the above.
