To celebrate World Menstrual Day, Mother, Strange Beast and SIREN reimagine CeCe Peniston’s classic hit ‘Finally’ to open discussion on period shame

Bloody Good Period, a charity that fights for menstrual equity and the rights of all people who bleed, celebrate World Menstrual Health Day today with the release of their new film ’Typically’!

The film, produced by Mother and production company Strange Beast, reimagines CeCe Peniston’s classic club hit ‘Finally’ with lyrics that aim to encourage open discussion around the issue of period shame. The film is part of the Bloody Good Period’s #NoShameHere campaign which uses donations to ensure that all people who bleed have free access to period products.

To create the re-record of this iconic track, SIREN worked with composer David Etherington and artist Chiara Hunter, who you may recognise from her viral COVID song reinterpretations with Diana Vickers throughout last year!

Check out the full film below and learn more about the #NoShameHere campaign at https://www.bloodygoodperiod.com/
