Match Marketing Group is launching Big Gay Ice Cream’s presence on the West Coast this week with a Big Gay Tattoo Shoppe, roller skaters, and human billboards.
The Big Gay Tattoo Shoppe will mark the arrival of the Big Gay Ice Cream in LA (a city that loves their ink) as brand ambassadors with billboards strapped to their backs will offer free custom temporary tattoos featuring Big Gay Ice Cream’s signature cone, unicorn, and more. The mobile billboards will feature designs that consumers can choose from, and also serve as a cool Instagram backdrop to boost brand visibility on social.

In 1979, Venice Beach was dubbed “the roller skating capital of the world” and this summer the brand is going to party like it’s 1979 by taking a Big Gay Ice Cream roller party to the streets. Roller skating, human billboards, unicorn tattoos, what more do you need?
After its LA Tour, brand activations will also hit the San Diego Pride parade in July.
Big Gay Ice Cream has a passionate cult following on the East Coast, with its new take on old-school ice cream like its famous Salty Pimp, and fun flavors like Lunchbox and Banan-o-Graham. The brand started with a single truck on the street in Union Square, NYC, followed by Big Gay Ice Cream storefronts in New York and Philly. Most recently, it expanded to offering its pints in major supermarkets, and now Big Gay Ice Cream pints are arriving in grocery store freezer sections across the West Coast.
