Composer Ben Bartlett has provided music for the Finale of 'Vera', which aired last night on ITV.
Ben's successful career began in 1999 when he scored the BBC/Discovery Channel’s genre-bending documentary ’Walking With Dinosaurs’, for which he won a BAFTA and a Primetime Emmy Award nomination. Ben has also received several other award nominations including an Ivor Novello nomination for his scoring of BBC’s TV Film, Fiona’s Story. His work also includes scoring the highly successful ITV series, ‘The Loch’, as well as critically acclaimed ‘The Tunnel’ for Sky Atlantic, starring Stephen Dillane and Clémence Poésy.
Based on the series of novels written by Ann Cleeves, Vera follows experienced Detective Chief Inspector Vera Stanhope as she tries to crack some of the toughest cases in Northumberland. The drama series is produced by ITV Studios and stars Brenda Blethyn, Kenny Doughty, Jon Morrison, Noof McEwan, Christopher Colquhoun, Lisa Hammond and Riley Jones.
To conclude the gripping series, in final episode ‘The Seagull', DCI Stanhope searches for the connection between a skeleton found buried underneath a burnt-out nightclub and a present day murder.
The series finale aired Sunday, February 3rd, 8pm ITV.
