LBB’s Alex Reeves caught up with LucidLink director of marketing, Julie O’Grady, to find out more about why the company is fostering real-world togetherness among creatives.
LBB> Who is the Creative Community Social for? The 'creative community' is a broad category of people in London!
Julie> Creatives across the globe use LucidLink for films, documentaries, videos, advertising, marketing, television, and more. Anyone in creative industries, whether filmmakers, VFX, creative directors, video editors, artists, audio engineers, animators, producers, colourists, or post-production supervisors, is welcome to join the event.
LBB> What is LucidLink, and why do you believe it's more suited to creative companies than other cloud-based collaboration tools?
Julie> LucidLink fits seamlessly into any workflow. Creatives can work in any major operating system using any of their favorite creative tools, from Adobe, Apple, Avid, Autodesk, Blackmagic, etc. Users work efficiently together from any location as if they are in the same room. They can immediately access and use new assets and project changes the moment their teammates save them in a shared Filespace – without downloading or syncing. LucidLink allows remote users to access just the data they need and not entire data sets. Anyone who used to be in an office or on a LAN can use LucidLink. Most importantly, everything is entirely secure, data is fully encrypted, and only the users have the keys and can “see” the data.
LBB> Which types of creative businesses / roles do you see getting the most obvious benefits from using LucidLink?
Julie> Anyone in creative industries dealing with larger files and big data sets like video production, digital marketing, and game development benefits tremendously from using LucidLink. It’s ideal for remote or hybrid work as users can access data instantly from anywhere and effortlessly collaborate on projects. Users like video editors, VFX artists, creative directors, audio engineers, animators, producers, and colourists all benefit from LucidLink as we enable teams to work together from across the globe and improve productivity by allowing teams to easily share, access, collaborate, and review each other's work.
LBB> Can you tell us anything about the 'Unbound' series with Versus Studio? What's the goal of that?
Julie> The idea behind Unbound is to spotlight our customers and the new possibilities that emerge with LucidLink, allowing them to work and collaborate from anywhere at a speed and flexibility that legacy solutions weren't designed to offer.
LBB> What sort of camaraderie and innovation do you hope will come out of the event?
Julie> LucidLink’s goal is to bring the creative community together in the heart of London, where like-minded professionals can meet new friends and get excited about enhancing their personal creativity.
