The One Club for Creativity, the world’s foremost nonprofit organization whose mission is to support the global creative community, has added a pair of top industry leaders to its esteemed Board of Directors.
Elected by a vote of The One Club membership to two-year terms, effective immediately, are Chris Beresford-Hill, Worldwide CCO at BBDO, based in New York, and Kaleeta McDade, VML global chief experience officer, based in Atlanta.
Board member responsibilities include providing guidance on the club’s many professional development, education, and diversity programs, connecting the club with advertising and design schools, and nominating top creatives to serve on juries for The One Show and ADC Annual Awards.
“It is an honour to join The One Club Board, and its ongoing mission to support and celebrate the success of the creative community,” said Chris. “With so much change in the business, and so much more on the horizon, giving confidence to, and supporting the growth of creative people, while ensuring their work is properly valued by the industry, has never been more important.
“The appointment to The One Club Board is one of the pinnacle moments in my career,” said Kaleeta. “I look forward to contributing to our shared mission and collaborating with such an inspiring group of individuals. Together, I am confident we can achieve meaningful impact and continue to drive community, creativity, and excellence. Thank you for this opportunity!”
The pair replace agency veteran Sherina Florence, head of The One Club’s groundbreaking ONE School UK free portfolio school for Black creatives, who recently became a member of The One Club International Board upon relocating to London, and Keith Cartwright, president, CCO at Cartwright in Los Angeles, who completed his two-year term.
