At this year’s 4As of the Philippines’ Kidlat Awards, BBDO Guerrero won Kidlat Agency of the Year after scoring the highest points tally in the show - which was judged for creative excellence across all media.
The agency also won the ‘Grand Kidlat’ or Best of Show for the #PHThankYou campaign for the Department of Tourism, which was additionally named Client of the Year.
The jury was headed by Leigh Reyes, (Lowe, Manila) and included Edmund Choe (TBWA Singapore), Third Domingo (IXM), Dave Ferrer (JWT), Gigi Lee (Y&R KL), Donald Lim (ABS-CBN), Raoul Panes (Leo Burnett), Brandie Tan (Publicis Jimenez Basic), Rey Tiempo (Dentsu) and Richmond Walker (Ogilvy).
The “#PHThankYou campaign was launched last year to express the country’s gratitude to the world after the outpouring of support following the worst typhoon ever to hit the Philippines, and to maintain and improve economically vital tourism arrivals in the aftermath of the storm.
Other agency campaigns to receive recognition included: Johnson & Johnson “Shadow Playground”, NUJP “Keep The Story Alive”, DOT’s “Siargao” and “Manila” TV commercials, and First Philippine Holdings Inc. “Powered by Good”.
