BBDO Guerrero has appointed Dale Lopez to the position of Executive Creative Director. He joins current ECD Tin Sanchez in the role. Lopez will take over the management and development of the department while Sanchez will concentrate on key client relationships and developing new creative opportunities.
Lopez joined BBDO Guerrero in 2004 and has risen from Associate Creative Director to Creative Director and now to his current position. He has been part of the team that has been responsible for the hugely successful “It’s More Fun” campaign for the Philippines Department of Tourism and also two recent highly awarded campaigns for Pepsi – the Liter Of Light campaign in conjunction with MyShelter and also Pepsi Pinas, an affectionate spoof of classic Filipino action movies.
This appointment aims to strengthen BBDO Guerrero’s mission to be the leading creative agency in the country. In January, they became the first Philippine agency to enter the World Top 50 in the Gunn Report whilst they have already been crowned Agency of the Year at the Tintas and at Kidlat. Furthermore, they are currently the Philippine 4As Agency Of The Year.
David Guerrero, Creative Chairman at BBDO Guerrero, said, “It is clear that the Philippines is now regarded as one of the most thriving creative advertising communities in the region. The appointment of Dale is recognition of his part in the recent success of the agency and of the desire to create ever more successful campaigns. I am certain that both he and Tin will thrive with their new responsibilities”.
Tony Harris, Chief Executive at BBDO Guerrero, said, “It is always a powerful sign when you can promote from within and Dale has proven himself to be a highly professional and well-regarded leader. He will certainly rally the many existing talents in our creative department”.
