Banjoman’s latest film “STAY OFF KARMA’S MENU” is a step in the direction of comedic entertainment and marks another collaboration with long time partners STRONG ROOTS.
Set on the top floor of the fictional company Karma Inc where two Karma Technicians go about their day investigating Karmic actions. The idea plays off the B Corp credentials of STRONG ROOTS, with sustainability sitting at the heart of the company and how they do their business. The brand believes food can be better for people whilst taking care of the planet. With ⅓ of all greenhouse gas emissions being linked to the food, Strong Roots promote delicious vegetable forward diet to help lower the individual’s climate foot print – without sacrificing on taste.
The film concept pokes light-hearted fun at everyday mischiefs resulting in Karmic misfortunes and positions the brand as an easy place to start building good Karma.
This film marks the first occasion where director Dermot Malone dips his toe outside the world of traditional, emotional storytelling - however the performances are still to the fore in this film. The BANJOMAN team worked closely with the great people at STRONG ROOTS and regular collaborators GABHA STUDIOS. The film launches at 37,000 feet on Virgin Atlantic’s in-flight entertainment platform this week.
