Asia Pacific's AdFest 2021 Lotus Winners

The region has come up trumps with some incredible pieces of work, writes LBB’s Natasha Patel

It’s been quite an experience for the AdFest 2021, which, in keeping in line with the times concluded online recently. With an array of work, both pandemic related and not, the campaigns were judged by a jury of 62 headed up by Judy John, global CCO at Edelman Toronto.

There were big wins for Wunderman Thompson Thailand who picked up awards for Stay Home Miles Exchange for Thai Awards including the Direct Lotus Grande, eCommerce Lotus, Brand Experience Lotus and Mobile Lotus. The campaign has been hailed for ensuring the airline stayed at the forefront of consumers’ minds when no one was able to fly due to its innovative idea for rewarding people for staying at home.

It was a big night for Thailand’s creativity and following on from Wunderman Thompson’s wins, Wolf BKK picked up plenty of awards for the hilarious yet simply effective campaign for Central Midnight ‘Shop Unfriend’. McCann India’s ECD Abhinav Tripathi said of the campaign: “It’s either a fashion film that uses humour really well, or it’s a funny film that’s incredibly fashionable. Either way, it breaks multiple stereotypes while being able to deliver its message very effectively.”
