Asahi Europe & International has appointed Havas as its global creative agency for Asahi Super Dry outside of Japan.
This follows a selection process which began in September and was supported by AAR.
Havas pitched against adam&eveDDB, Dentsu Creative and McCann.

Mark Whelan, Havas’ UK chairman and group chief creative officer, who will be global creative lead on the business, adds: “Asahi Super Dry is an iconic brand which deserves to be a top 10 beer globally. We’re so happy to be chosen as its global creative partner, after an extremely collaborative, ambitious and respectful pitch process, to help realise that ambition. It also happens to be my favourite beer, so that's personally very pleasing.”
The account will be led by Havas London, with support from other Havas Creative Network agencies in local markets.
