Arrows in Flight with Nathan Clark

After the triumph that was the first ever Young Arrows we are super hyped for this second year. We can talk about the benefits of recognising young talent until the cows come home, but who better to tell you why than our inaugural winners. Next up is Nathan Clark. 

Q> Why did you / your company enter you in the Young Arrows?

Nathan> Framestore recognises how the Young Arrows offers a great opportunity to shine the spotlight on its junior talent. ‘Jeff’s World’ was a unique project and they felt that my work on it would be strong contender.

Q> What did think about being entered?

Nathan> I wasn't expecting it, so it was a nice surprise for sure!

Q> How did it feel to win? Did you expect to win?!

Nathan> I never expected to win so it was a great feeling. Having your work recognised on a platform like this is really cool.

Q> Has winning had any impact on your career / career decisions?

Nathan> I was recently promoted to rigging technical director at Framestore and have continued to work across an array of exciting projects. Winning this award has improved the confidence I have in my role, and what I am capable of.

Q> What do you think the benefits are of giving young talent opportunities in this way?

Nathan> I think the main benefit is setting people up for the future. The ‘young talent’ are eventually going to be the ‘talent’ so I think it’s important to help up and coming people get their foot in the door.

Q> What are your career goals?

Nathan> My plan is to continue working on interesting projects and getting better at what I do. There's always so much to learn.

Q> What would you say to someone thinking of entering this year?

Nathan> Go for it, it's a great experience no matter the result, and a good way to try and get your name and work out there.
