TBWA\ announced today Ara Hampartsoumian, managing director, TBWA\Group Singapore has been promoted to chief executive officer, TBWA\Group Singapore with immediate effect.
Ian Pearman, president at TBWA\Asia, says: “For two years I’ve been witness to Ara’s energy and unrelenting commitment to TBWA and to his team, as CEO he is now in a position to take the agency to even greater heights.”
Ara joined TBWA\Singapore as managing director in 2014 with a mandate to oversee existing clients and lead new business opportunities. During his time, Ara successfully led the Singapore agency in numerous high-profile pitches including last week’s Singapore Airlines win.
In addition to Ara’s successful new business record, he has been instrumental in driving culture and innovation across his agency, which is regularly recognized as one of Singapore’s most innovative agencies.
A believer in giving back and investing in home grown future talent, under Ara’s leadership, TBWA\Singapore’s internship programme has become one of the most sought after amongst advertising and communications students. Working closely with 15 schools the agency hosts 66 interns across various departments annually, with an impressive conversion to full-time employees.
