AOI Pro.'s Rin Soejima and Tomu Yamaguchi Selected for Fabulous Five at ADFEST 2019

AOI Pro. has announced that two of its young directors Rin Soejima and Tomu Yamaguchi were selected as a part of the 'Fabulous Five' hosted by ADFEST. They are both attending to the 'Fabulous Five' session held on March 21st in Pattaya, Thailand.

'Fabulous Five', formerly known as 'Fabulous Four', is an annual short film competition for young commercial film directors in Asia Pacific and Middle East. The program was expanded to 'Fabulous Five' reflecting the success of the directors who have screened their films at ADFEST, giving more directors the chance to make their first big break.

Each applicant submits a script inspired by the year’s festival theme. This year’s theme is 'TMRRW.TDAY' and five directors’ scripts were selected by the Film Craft & New Director Jury out of total 49 submissions from 11 cities in the Asia Pacific and Middle East.

‘The Fabulous Five 2019’ session will be held on March 21st, 15:40 pm where all the five directors’ works will be screened.

Rin Soejima

Born in Shizuoka Prefecture in 1993, and raised in Aichi Prefecture. Soon after graduating from Tama Art University with a bachelor's degree in graphic design, Rin joined AOI Pro. in 2017. She likes things that are difficult to understand but look 'KAWAII' (cute).

Tomu Yamaguchi

Majoring in college of image arts and sciences, Tomu studied film making at Ritsumeikan University. In April 2018, he joined AOI Pro. He likes to make films that please people around him, such as his family and friends. He loves comedy, and his goal is to master the genre.
