Set in Tokyo, the campaign follows the journey of Dotti and Leon as they jet off to Japan on an international adventure
TBWA Group NZ showcases ANZ’s international travel money services with the unveiling of its latest campaign.
Highlighting how ANZ helps customers stay on top of their money overseas, the new campaign profiles ANZ’s Visa Debit card as the perfect companion for Kiwis with wanderlust. With no overseas ATM fee and a recently reduced currency conversion charge, an ANZ Visa Debit card makes managing travel money hassle free.
Says Shane Bradnick chief creative officer, TBWA Group NZ: “Dotti and Leon have a unique dynamic and it’s always interesting to see how couples cope when they travel together. ANZ continues to give us the creative licence to have some fun with Dotti and Leon’s relationship and this comes through in the campaign. The nation’s eyes have been glued to Japan recently too, so it’s no accident ANZ is right there.”
The choice to shoot in Tokyo was informed by the nation’s current obsession with Japan and nods to the fact that ANZ is the sponsor of the New Zealand Olympic Team and New Zealand Paralympic Team for Tokyo 2020.
Says Matthew Pickering, head of consumer marketing, ANZ: “We know that managing money can be a real hassle when travelling overseas so we’re trying to make it easier for Kiwis. Leon and Dotti having fun exploring Tokyo was a great way to demonstrate the changes we’ve made.”
The campaign is supported by executions in TV, digital, social, OOH, press and retail.
