TBWA\Chiat\Day New York enlists O Positive’s Kenny Herzog to helm ‘Expect Better. Expect Hilton.’
TBWA\Chiat\Day New York has launched a new campaign for Hilton, ‘Expect Better. Expect Hilton.’, encouraging travellers to book directly with their hotel to make sure they are getting the best choices, experiences and price. The content will debut Saturday, September 29, during this weekend’s 2018 Ryder Cup on NBC.
After speaking with thousands of travellers in the U.S. and abroad, Hilton learned that many travellers have been conditioned to expect less and approach planning with skepticism. The initiative directly addresses these frustrations travellers face when booking their hotel stay by taking a stand for consumers who desire more flexibility, better perks and on-property experiences, with reassurance that they are getting the best price.
Hilton’s first-ever celebrity driven campaign starring Grammy, Oscar, and Tony-nominated Anna Kendrick, will include :30 linear spots and a robust digital campaign, including a series of surprising :06 executions. In the ads, Anna plays the role of a savvy traveler who spotlights the ease of booking directly through Hilton via the Hilton Honors app or Hilton.com, and the perks of doing so.
Hilton chose to work with Anna on the campaign because of the comedic flair she brings to the role of the savvy traveler and her strong representation of the Hilton brand.
New CMO, Kellyn Smith Kenny oversaw the execution alongside TBWA\Chiat\Day New York, MediaCom and iProspect. The spots also feature a few of Hilton’s on-property Team Members.
The first commercial will air during this weekend’s 2018 Ryder Cup on NBC as well as additional spots that include NBC’s The Voice, CBS’ Murphy Brown and others. The campaign will run well into 2019.
