Caps more than 25 years dedicated to creating cultural resonance for brands

TMA (The Marketing Arm) announced today that Andrew Robinson, currently its executive chairman, will be retiring at the end of July. Andrew has served in this role since January 2023. Prior to that, he was CEO from May, 2019. There are no plans to replace him in the executive chairman role. Trina Roffino will continue as CEO.

Andrew began his Omnicom career at Millsport, a sports agency that was subsequently merged with TMA in 2004. He was named chief creative officer and president in 2018, adding the CEO title the following year. Andrew’s focus kept creativity and culture at the heart of TMA, and he was instrumental in steering the agency through the covid crisis.

“I leave TMA knowing it is in great hands with Trina, a dynamic leader and marketer – simply the best I’ve ever worked with. The agency is driving business performance for its clients, attracting new brand partners, and consistently earning industry recognition for its innovation and creative firepower,” commented Andrew. “I can still recall my first days in the summer of 1998; it didn’t take long to realise that I had passion for the work and that I had finally found my professional calling. It’s been an exhilarating ride.”

For more than 20 years, Andrew served in a creative capacity specialising in creating and producing big ideas that create cultural resonance for brands. Some of his most celebrated work includes the first presenting sponsorship and branded fan experience by Tostitos as part of ESPN College Gameday in 1999; the Tostitos 'Connect to Home Bowl,' a college football all-star game in Iraq in partnership with the USO in 2011; and, Doritos 'Crash the Super Bowl,' which ended a successful ten-year run in 2018 and was arguably the most effective promotion of the decade, winning many accolades.

“As much as I enjoyed what I did, what I will treasure most about my time at TMA is getting to work with so many exceptionally talented people including colleagues, clients, and other strategic partners," added Andrew. “Not only were they wickedly smart and brilliantly creative and uncommonly dedicated to excellence, but also kind, compassionate, and caring.”

Carl Loredo, president of Pizza Hut US and a former VP at TMA, said of Andrew, “For as long as I’ve known Andrew, he’s been deeply attuned to his client’s business, driving meaningful results via culture and creativity - while never losing sight of the growth and well-being of his people.”

“With Andrew at the helm, TMA honed its focus on cultural resonance,” noted Trina Roffino, CEO of TMA. “The agency grew by double digits, we added dozens of new clients and projects, and we expanded our capabilities to offer fully integrated solutions and lead creative. We will miss his incredible leadership, especially his deeply caring nature. He set a great standard. From all of us at TMA, we say thank you, Andrew, and wish you all the best.”

Andrew’s last day will be July 31st.
