Doritos announces the winner of its 'Crash the Super Bowl' competition

After months of anticipation, fans have officially selected the winner of the Doritos Crash the Super Bowl contest: Dylan Bradshaw and Nate Norell (Abduction)!

For the 25th Doritos Super Bowl ad, Doritos put the power in the hands of its fans by bringing back the iconic Doritos Crash the Super Bowl contest with a challenge: 'Think you can make a better ad? Prove it.' Those bold enough to enter their ideas had the chance to see their creative vision air during the Big Game and to walk away with $1 million. Thousands of submissions were received. However, entrants needed to do more than 'wow' the brand, as fans ultimately decided the winner by voting here.

'Abduction' will air as the brand’s 25th Super Bowl advertisement and the creators will walk away with $1 million and an all-expense-paid trip to New Orleans for The Big Game.  The spot will air in the first quarter during Super Bowl LIX. The winning duo are best friends and co-directors whose unexpected humour and creativity rose to the top of the thousands of bold submissions entered by fans last fall.

Dylan and Nate’s spot, Abduction, will join the likes of some of the most memorable ads in Super Bowl history and commemorate Doritos’ longstanding position as one of the most iconic Super Bowl advertisers. Playing on sci-fi tropes and packed with hilarious twists and turns, this winning Crash the Super Bowl spot is out-of-this-world.

“This year’s Crash the Super Bowl contest winner, Abduction is the ultimate embodiment of Doritos’ For the Bold ethos. They truly pushed the bounds of creativity with their Abduction ad,” said Tina Mahal, senior vice president of marketing at PepsiCo Foods North America. “We can’t wait to showcase their vision on the biggest stage in advertising, as we know the spot will inspire our fans to continue stepping outside of what is expected.”
