Airfoil Media welcomes Jeremy Nachbar, a director who has honed a rare comedic skill—crafting dialogue-driven humour that’s just as funny with the sound off.
Jeremy’s secret weapon? Precision in blocking, character performance, and visual timing. His background in improv gave him a deep understanding of rhythm, reaction, and the small, unspoken details that make a moment land. Over the years, he has refined his approach, developing a style that doesn’t rely on punchlines alone but instead builds comedy through movement, space, and expression - turning every frame into a joke that speaks for itself.
“Jeremy has an incredible ability to shape comedy beyond dialogue. He directs in a way that makes every pause, glance, and shift in body language part of the punchline,” said executive producer Joe Kresta. “It’s a level of precision that very few directors can pull off.”
Named one of Shoot Magazine’s Top 30 New Directors, Jeremy has spent years fine-tuning his craft, studying how humour works visually across different genres and cultures. His multicultural background and fluency in Spanish have further sharpened his understanding of both American and Latin American comedic sensibilities, allowing him to craft humour that connects effortlessly across audiences.
“Improv teaches you to trust the physicality of comedy - the way a scene unfolds, the way a character reacts, the way silence can be just as funny as a line,” said Jeremy. “I’ve spent my career pushing that idea, making sure the joke lands before a single word is even spoken. Airfoil is the perfect place to keep exploring that, and I couldn’t be more excited to be part of the team.”
With Jeremy on board, Airfoil Media continues to expand its vision for performance-driven, visually impactful storytelling - because the best jokes don't always need to be delivered with the sound on.
