Toronto based production company Denim has welcomed LA-based photographer, director and entrepreneur Aidan Cullen for representation in Canada.
Recognised for his dynamic visual storytelling and fashion-forward artistic flair, Aidan has captured the likes of A$AP Rocky, Halsey, Omar Apollo, Dominic Fike and Travis Scott, with his work featuring in publications such as Vogue, i-D, and Interview Mag. Beyond the still image, he has shot films for brands such as Prada, Nike, Adidas, and Aime Leon Dore.
At 25, Aidan’s ambitious pursuit of creativity saw him drop out of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts after three semesters in order to focus on his artistic career full time. The decision paid off; in March 2024 he co-founded, launched and became CCO of NOVA, an app that connects freelance creatives with clients that has already provided over $15m worth of opportunities for creatives across 200 cities.
Putting his creative talents to the page as well as on screen, Aidan is currently finishing his first photography book, and is gearing up to shoot his first narrative short film, whilst continuing to direct and photograph music videos and commercials in the US, moving into Canada now that he is part of Denim.
Christian Tyler, managing director and executive producer, Denim commented, “Aidan has been a long-time friend, and we’ve always loved the creativity that flows through his work. His unique vibe and passion for the industry make him an awesome fit for our Denim roster. With his incredible talent for storytelling and knack for compelling visuals, we can’t wait to bring him up north for some exciting collaborations.”
Aidan Cullen, director, said, “I believe that even more important than companies themselves are the people behind them and their visions. I always loved talking with Christian and I’m always keeping up with the sick projects he works on and thought he always had an inspiring outlook on how he approaches things. I love the group of talent he has assembled for Denim and I’m honoured and excited to be a part of it. I’m also stoked to shoot more stuff in Canada! I’ve only shot there once!”
