Aegis Media has launched a full service media and digital creative services business, Huckleberry, bringing together the clients and staff of Aegis Media previously serviced by Havas Media and digital creative agency Rodeo, under a new agency brand.
Huckleberry comprises 60 staff in Melbourne upon launch, with media clients including Medibank Private, ME Bank, Madman Entertainment and Funtastic and digital creative services clients including The Good Guys, Patties and Maurice Blackburn.
The business will be run by joint Managing Directors, with Melissa Roberts as MD of Media and Aaron Tobin as MD of Creative. Both bring unique skills to the business from their respective experience, backed by the power of the Aegis Media network.
Melissa said: “Huckleberry is built on strong people and teams, bringing together two agencies with strength in media and digital creative services to form one fully integrated full service offering.”
“As separate agencies, our approach to building communications solutions for clients was very much in line. Together, we have a very strong offer in combining the digital and creative expertise of Rodeo with the media and strategic clout of my team.”
“It’s important to note that we will continue to work with other agency partners both inside Aegis Media and externally, continuing the strong industry relationships that we have in place.”
Aaron said: “This is a great opportunity to build on our collective service offering for clients, creating a business with the skill set to deliver complete communications solutions, right from insight to delivery to market.”
“Both teams are consumer led with a focus on exceptional strategy and insights. The diverse skill set of Huckleberry ensures that we have the ability to create the most effective campaigns for our clients across multiple disciplines.”
Huckleberry’s joint MDs will report to Aegis Media ANZ CEO, Luke Littlefield, with executive support from David Stephenson, CEO, Creative Services for Aegis Media. The business launches as the group’s agreement to use the Havas Media brand in Australia concludes.
