Michael Conrad, from the Berlin School of Creative Leadership (Germany), will preside the jury for this edition. Each of the 6 categories will be chaired by a renowned European creative. The total jury will be made up of 50 designers and creatives from different European countries
The Art Directors Club of Europe (ADCE) has completed the selection of jury chairmen for the 22nd Best of European Design and Advertising - ADCE Awards 2013.
Under Jury President, Michael Conrad, from the Berlin School of Creative Leadership (Germany), the Chairmen for each of the 6 categories are:
• Film & Radio: Stéphane Xiberras, President and Chief Creative Officer at BETC Paris (France)
• Advertising Print: Jean-Rémy von Matt, Founder and Chief Creative Officer at Jung von Matt (Alemania)
• Digital: Kris Hoet, Head of Digital / Change Architect at Duval Guillaume Modem (Belgium)
• Design: Pablo Martín, Graphic Designer at Gráfica (Spain)
• Promotions, New media & Events: Martin Spillmann, CCO at Leo Burnett Western Central Europe (Switzerland)
• Integration & Innovation: Rosie Bardales, Creative Director at Wieden+Kennedy (Netherlands)
On 7 and 8 June, the Chairmen together with other 50 creatives from different European countries will meet in Barcelona (FAD Building) to award excellence among the best in graphic design and advertising from Europe.
A foreseen 900 works are expected to participate in this edition. The works have already been awarded with ‘Gold’, ‘Silver’, ‘Bronze’, or ‘Shortlist’ in their respective country’s creative club awards. For this reason, the distinctions afforded by the ADCE are considered “the Best
of the Best”.
New in the 22nd edition of The ADCE Awards 2013 is the inclusion of six new subcategories
grouped under ‘Integration and Innovation’. The incorporation of these new subcategories is intended to recognize a growing number of advertising campaigns that go beyond traditional creative formulas.
Why “Great is not good enough” The 4th edition of the ADCE Conference is certain to become the referential event for designers and advertising creatives worldwide. Under the slogan, “Great is not Good Enough”, a panel of distinguished industry professionals will unveil the winners from this year’s ADCE Awards, as well as, discuss the jury’s decision-making process.
Six different blocks around the six jury categories will focus on those works that did not merit the “Gold” distinction and the reasons why. The conference will be an open discussion that will capture the point of view of the jurors together with the participation of the audience.
