Three new spots for Valley Toyota’s long running 'Pat TV' campaign continue the tradition of showcasing the comedic talents of improvisational actor Pat Finn. The eight spot campaign was produced by True Gent and directed by founder Jordan Brady. “”It always starts with great scripts, then Pat riffs. The result is pure alchemy.”
'Farm Hand,' follows Pat Finn as he unsuspectingly visits an ostrich farm with his new Toyota Tundra. Mr. Finn’s physical humour is squarely on display dealing with a flock of large, flightless land birds.
In 'Kicking Tires,' Pat defends a Toyota Certified Used Vehicle from a car shopper, played by stand-up comedian Wayne Federman. Their back-and-forth highlights the value and reliability of Toyota’s certified pre-owned vehicles while delivering laughs through the sharp improv chemistry between the two actors.
'Pulled Over' casts Pat as a school crossing guard, stopping a driver to check out his new 2025 Toyota Camry. The scenario combines Pat’s comedic timing while showcasing the sleek Camry.
Jordan Brady has directed about 200 of these spots for LT, the Phoenix-based advertising agency. “LT is very proud of the success our long-running campaign has had for the Valley Toyota Dealers. We’ve got this dream team for pure comedy gold,” said LT’s chief creative officer Ian Barry.
Brady says, “Ian, and creative directors Greg Harwell and Gary Serviss have a bottomless bowl of scenarios for Pat. The situations are always funny. You don’t really 'direct' Pat Finn, you stay out of his way; his improv skills are legendary. He brings unexpected twists to the material. I can't see AI replacing this level collaboration our team has on set.”
