Accenture Song has announced that Rebecca Bezzina will join as marketing practice lead for the UK, Ireland, and Africa (UKIA) starting December 1. Rebecca joins from R/GA, where she was EMEA CEO, recognised for driving growth, landing multiple Campaign ‘Digital Innovation Agency of the Year’ award wins in the UK and on a global stage, and leading cutting-edge work for a number of clients.
Rebecca has over 20 years’ experience working with clients at the intersection of technology and creativity. She is an award-winning, multi-disciplinary leader who has worked with clients to embed brand, customer and technology transformation programmes. Her industry expertise spans financial services, technology, telecoms, automotive, airline and consumer packaged goods.
Reporting to Sohel Aziz, managing director for the UK, Ireland and Africa at Accenture Song, Rebecca will be responsible for overseeing the Accenture Song marketing practice – integrating brand, creative, marketing advisory, production, tech and data and AI capabilities. In addition to leading the practice, she will bring her expertise to financial services clients across the region.
Rebecca’s appointment builds on a strong foundation established by Bill Scott, CEO of Droga5 London, during his tenure establishing the marketing practice for the region. Bill will now focus on leading Droga5 London full-time, continuing to drive its creative vision and success.
Rebecca’s arrival reinforces Accenture Song’s commitment to becoming a world-class creative and technology leader by attracting top talent and consistently delivering innovative solutions for clients.
She is the latest hire to join Sohel’s leadership team. In October, Song announced the appointment of ex-Google exec, Kevin Mathers, as the head of go-to-market for the UK, Ireland and Africa.
Earlier this year, Accenture announced the acquisition of Unlimited to bolster its CRM and customer relevance capabilities.
Rebecca Bezzina, marketing practice lead for the UK, Ireland and Africa, Accenture Song, said, “Joining Accenture Song is a unique opportunity to shape the future of marketing by uniting creativity and technology at scale. I’m thrilled to partner with this incredible team to drive innovation and deliver transformative outcomes for our clients.”
Sohel Aziz, managing director for the UK, Ireland and Africa, Accenture Song, said,
“Rebecca’s leadership, combined with her strategic insight into creativity, customer experience and digital transformation, is a perfect fit for our mission. We look forward to her driving growth and elevating our marketing practice across UKIA.”
