Acadia, a digital marketing agency created to super-service the mid-market, is extending its focus in retail media and marketplaces with the acquisition of CRUSH, a full service Amazon marketplace agency that works with fast-growing and retail-first brands. The move makes Acadia the first elite, full-spectrum, retail advertising agency.
Founded by Matthew Rosenfeld in 2022, CRUSH quickly became a go-to Amazon partner for brands looking to launch or optimise their presence on the world’s everything store, delivering successful outcomes for clients spanning industries and categories. CRUSH helps brands like David Protein, Malk, Black Rifle Coffee and True Botanicals accelerate their growth on Amazon.
“One of the things that makes CRUSH special is that they are staffed largely by P&L owners and operators with deep Amazon expertise. Unlike any other agency we’ve met, they genuinely understand the needs of clients wanting to win on an undeniably powerful and lucrative marketplace,” said Jared Belsky, CEO of Acadia. “CRUSH has standardised and scaled those proven methodologies across the organisation in a way that’s truly remarkable. Together, we’ve created the only truly elite, full-spectrum agency in the business servicing startup, scale-up and expansion brands.”
Spending on Amazon, and more broadly retail media marketplaces, is projected to eclipse the entire TV market by early 2026. Forrester expects U.S. retail media ad sales to reach $85 billion - making it one-fifth of the entire digital advertising market – and grow 20% annually for the next five years.
“Even with the major growth in Amazon, we truly believe we are only in the 3rd inning of a long game,” said Julie Spear, head of marketplace services at Acadia. “There is a ton of tailwind for retail media and now with the addition of CRUSH, we can help even more clients in many more ways.”
By joining the Acadia Family, CRUSH’s clients will be able to take advantage of the wide breadth of industry-leading services that Acadia offers including customer analytics, social, paid media, CRO and SEO. Similarly, Acadia’s clients will be able to leverage CRUSH’s unique Amazon acceleration services.
“After spending time with Acadia’s leadership team, it was clear that we had a shared sense of culture and vision for the deepening importance that retail media and marketplaces will play for the future growth of brands,” said Matthew. “Said simply, if you’re a brand and you’re not paying attention to the proliferation of marketplaces, you’re leaving money on the table.”
Supporting brands such as Takis, Godiva, BODi, PUMA and Totes, Acadia’s Retail Media & Marketplaces business unit is now close to 150 people strong, making up one of the largest and most scaled groups in the industry. The addition of CRUSH allows Acadia to serve fast growing DTC brands that are trying to launch on Amazon for the first time or accelerating fast growth.
Founded in 2021 by Sean Belnick and Jared Belsky, Acadia is a modern digital agency with over 250 experts in retail media and marketplaces, analytics, paid media, SEO, CRO, and full-service social. Named the sixth fastest-growing agency by Adweek in 2025, the company is headquartered in Atlanta and services clients across industries and continents globally.
