Absolute Announces Dan Lorenzini as Head of 2D

Absolute has announced the addition of Dan Lorenzini to the business as its new head of 2D. The latest in an array of exciting acquisitions over the past year, Dan brings over two decades of industry experience, and will be tasked with developing Absolute’s 2D team, shaping the direction of the department for years to come.

Beginning his career in 1999, Dan's experience spans appointments at premier VFX studios in the United States, UK, and Australia - Over the past twelve years, he has held key roles at both MPC and The Mill, co-leading the latter’s 2D department since 2022.
Alongside his exceptional body of work and stellar reputation, Dan is widely recognized for his ability to lead and inspire creative teams. His mentorship and unwavering support have helped nurture talent and drive excellence, making him a fantastic addition to our team.

His reel is a who’s-who of iconic brands, including projects for O2, Erstebank, Qatar Airways, Samsung, Apple and Amstel, as well as British Arrow and Clio Sports award-winning campaigns for CALM and Riyadh Season. These have included collaborations with esteemed directors such as Sacred Egg, Rich Hall, Gary Freedman, Henry Scholfield, Ulf Johansson, Dorian and Daniel and Alex Boutell.
