888poker has launched its new poker platform - Poker 8, designed for recreational players, with an ad campaign that puts the player at the heart of the action.
Created by Recipe, the brand campaign builds a clear, simple and differentiated proposition to encourage poker players to switch from their current poker operator to 888poker.
The ‘Made to Play’ campaign, which runs for three weeks, includes a 60 & 30-second film to run on TV and Video-On-Demand channels.
The creative takes the viewer on a journey that showcases the nuanced excitement of the highs and the lows of a poker hand as seen through the eyes of 888poker players. It’s targeted at anyone who has ever played a hand of poker and revels in the joy of the new 888poker experience.
Recipe’s film emphasises that Poker 8 is an intuitive website that includes new features to make it a fun and fair experience, and is designed for like-minded people who are there for the play not the pay.
Shot during lockdown, the creation of the ad involved meticulous advanced planning and communication ahead of the shoot day. Everything filmed was then streamed back over video link to the team at Recipe by the production company Paradiso.
Matt Waller, creative director at Recipe, said: “888poker puts players at the heart of everything they do, that is why they built their new poker site. This campaign encapsulates the wonderful experience every player enjoys when they play a single hand at the all-new 888poker.”
