Simon Klinkertz

Simon is an award-winning Berlin-based editor whose level of creativity is exceptional when it comes to storytelling and transporting moods through connections between images and sound.

Born near Dusseldorf, Simon grew up playing guitar and skating and planned to pursue a path to the creative industry. However, an  employment for Saltwater Films exposed him to the craft of editing and he charted a new path. By working with renowned directors such as Vitali
Gelwich, Franck Trozzo Kazagui, Peter Kaaden and Stini Röhrs, he quickly worked his way up to from junior editor to editor.

He then worked as a freelance editor on commercials, collaborating with top directors such as Caraz, Dorian & Daniel, Sarah Blais, Victor Laborde or Jeano Edwards and international production companies like SomeSuch, Zauberberg, Stink Films, Tempomedia, Psyop and BWGTBLD.

Simon has cut campaigns for international brands including Asics, Gore-Tex, Google, Hugo Boss, HUK, Hyundai, Mercedes Benz, Nike, Porsche, Supreme, Rimowa, Sony, Telekom, Wilkinson, Versace and more.

His versatile work spans all formats and storytelling approaches.
