The Brazilian production company Zombie Studio was one of the most awarded production companies at the London International Awards 2024 (LIA), one of the world’s leading creativity festivals, with final results announced this Wednesday (9th). In total, they won 16 trophies across two campaigns, including two Grand LIA awards - the highest prize in the competition - nine Golds, three Silvers, and two Bronzes.
Three awards were won for the campaign 'The Gravy Race', created by AMV BBDO London for the cat food brand Sheba, including the Grand Prix in the Use of Social Media & Influencers category. The campaign features a pioneering sporting event where cats compete in a knockout tournament to see who can lick a line of gravy faster, hosted by sports commentator Ian Eagle and watched by over 16.5 million people organically.
The other 13 awards were given for the short film '47,' produced by Zombie and created by Klick Health Toronto for Café Joyeux, a non-profit café-restaurant chain committed to employing and training people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), present in countries such as Portugal, France, and the United States.
Produced in stop-motion with handcrafted characters, the animation is inspired by the life story of a man with Down syndrome who landed his first job at the age of 47. This year alone, '47,' which won the Grand Prix in Health & Wellness - Craft at the LIA, has also secured a Silver Lion in the Film category at Cannes Lions, a Grand Clio at the Clio Awards, and eight awards at The Creative Floor Awards, along with various other trophies at international festivals.
“Receiving such recognition at one of the largest creativity festivals in the World, where the best international production companies compete with their finest works, is an immense pride and demonstrates how Brazil's creativity, talent, and production capacity are at the global top of the industry. Working with international partners further enhances this, and this recognition from the LIA confirms that we are on the right path,” says Paulo Garcia, co-founder and creative director of Zombie Studio.
