Yeo Valley Organic Encourages You to Get Into Your Gut Health Groove

The campaign was created with eight&four and drives awareness of different kefir formats

eight&four’s campaign for Yeo Valley Organic that urged consumers to ‘Find Your Daily Groove’ is one that no London Underground commuter will have missed last winter, thanks to the colourful, eye-catching visuals brightening up the grey morning commute.

And to mark the new year and tap into the public’s enthusiasm for kick starting healthy habits, the organic brand tasked the agency with creating a major 360 campaign for their Kefir range that included a 30s hero ad, social cutdowns, TikTok-tailored videos, YouTube bumpers and stills.

The brief was to drive awareness of the different kefir formats and consumption moments throughout the day, encouraging daily intake for good gut health. It was designed to appeal to the health-conscious consumer who wants an easy, natural way to boost their gut health.

On the inspiration for the idea, Geoffrey Chang, creative lead at eight&four, said, ‘“Delicious is at the heart” is the brand’s master messaging, which immediately brought to mind the 80s classic, “Groove is in the heart” – which we quickly adapted to the appropriately titled “Groove is in the gut” and then landed on our singular idea of people ‘finding their groove’, day in day out.

“Yeo’s wide range of on-the-go products gave us plenty of opportunity to weave in different round-the-clock consumption moments – from breakfast shot to picnic pot and everything in between – packing a lot of action into the 30s hero spot. This helped inform some of the hand-off transitions, treating the product like a baton, to make all the scenes as connected as possible – while keeping the brand and product front and centre.”
"Find your daily groove" became a fun, memorable call to action that highlighted the habitual intake of kefir to keep your gut health in check. Softening the language allowed the creatives to play in a more unexpected territory for the yogurt category. Gut health doesn’t have to be stale, pale and boring after all.

Geoffrey added, “We wanted to own the emotional feeling that energy-boosting kefir gives you. Our narrative featured three characters all consuming different types of kefir formats, connected by seamless dynamic transitions, and united by the feel-good effect of the yogurt.”

To stand out, the team made sure they captured as much grooviness as possible for Yeo, with bags of personality, from bold colour palette, wardrobe and casting to playful elongated copy and exaggerated VO. The dance sequence required careful choreography, while eight&four’s motion graphics designers expertly brought the colour bursts and animated text to life.​

“Everything was produced in-house, from motion graphics and text animation to sound design and grading, meaning everything ran smoothly, and we were grateful to have collaborative clients who were open to dynamic ideas.”
