The Sennheiser brand is tackling the daily grind of commuting head-on with a playful new campaign developed by Ogilvy. Thanks to the impressive 60-hour battery life of the SENNHEISER MOMENTUM 4 Wireless headphones, travellers always have reliable headphones at their disposal, even when their own battery is low. The campaign, titled ‘Battery That Lasts Longer Than Yours’, adds a dose of humour into the universal experience of commuter fatigue.
The campaign creatively taps into the phenomenon that commuters know all too well, napping on public transportation. The images showcase individuals peacefully asleep on their commute, while the SENNHEISER MOMENTUM 4 Wireless headphones tirelessly continue to work. The message is clear: even if your battery runs out, your headphones’ battery won't.
Reflecting the shared reality of those painfully early or late journeys, the campaign was shot guerilla-style with a small crew and handheld camera equipment. This approach creates a fly-on-the-wall perspective for the viewer, tapping into that universal urge we all have to sometimes sneak a peek at our fellow passengers. Especially when they're caught in an awkward sleep position, making for some truly candid footage.
Jessika Petrusch, director of global brand and content at Sonova Consumer Hearing commented, “The Sennheiser brand is committed to delivering superior audio experiences that seamlessly integrate into our customers' lives, whether users are focused on work or catching up on much needed rest. This campaign perfectly captures the essence of the MOMENTUM 4 Wireless headphones – exceptional performance and long-lasting comfort.”
Tolga Büyükdoğanay, chief creative officer at Ogilvy said, “We want to capture the attention of busy individuals who are constantly on the move. The campaign uses a relatable insight and a great dose of humour, which I like! The Sennheiser brand understands the demands of your day and provides category crashing battery life with Sennheiser signature sound.”
