Dum-Dums is an iconic American lollipop brand made by Spangler Candy in Bryan, Ohio. Thanks to their size, variety, easy-to-open wrapper, and easy-to-say name, Dum-Dums have been a favourite treat of kids (and adults) since 1924.
Consumers already know and love Dum-Dums, but standing out in an increasingly cluttered and innovation-fueled candy aisle requires truly out-of-the-box creative. It was important for the brand to emerge this Halloween season in a meaningful way and remind its target audience of the joy that the brand has always brought to their lives. So Dum-Dums partnered with Barkley to craft an unexpected but evergreen Halloween-themed animation.
The animated video features cutdowns of three distinct joyful moments:
- A witchling learning to fly on her broomstick for the first time
- The witchling and her friends being let into the Halloween Ball
- The witchling and the wizard boy locking eyes around the room
