West One Music Group has announced the opening of a brand-new office in Copenhagen, Denmark as part of its five-year growth plan. At the helm of this exciting expansion across Europe is Nick Leonard, creative sales and music manager for the Nordics and the Baltic states.
Nick’s wealth of experience of the West One Music catalogue, and his robust client relationships across the UK and Nordic regions make him the perfect person for this new chapter. Initially hired in 2014 to expand business opportunities in Post-Production, Advertising and Film Trailers, Nick became an integral part of the company’s development. After heading up the UK team for three years he then turned his hand to the Nordics, where for the last three years he has built solid foundations and partnerships with key broadcasters such as NRK (Norway) and SVT (Sweden), along with multiple creative agencies and independent production companies.
Nick will continue to expand on West One Music’s key music partnerships with some of the largest media groups in the Nordic regions, such as pan-Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT) which involved supporting across catalogue and custom music, and the creation of joint albums.

As well as developing relationships with clients West One Music will continue to promote and nurture local talent, with the most recent collaboration with renowned Norwegian Finnish composer Lasse Enersen.

We can now focus on our creative advertising, broadcast and producer relationships across the region, whilst also collaborating with local composers, whose talent is having a profound impact on the Cinematic music landscape.”
This latest venture comes at a time of continued global expansion for West One Music, which recently saw Cristina Bellido re-locating to London from New York to begin her new role as Global Head of Sales. Her focus, as well as supporting the sales teams across the world, will be on the development and roll-out of key strategic partnerships. Her remit will also support West One Music’s global, diverse and multicultural approach in line with the needs of content producers around the world.
